Are images ever enlarged?

No, this tool only shrinks. If an image is already smaller than your limit it stays as it is, so it does not get blurry.

Does the aspect ratio change?

No. If you enter only a width, the height follows the ratio. If you enter both, the image is scaled to fit inside that box without being stretched.

Which image formats are supported?

JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF and BMP. For GIFs only the first frame is processed. iPhone HEIC images do not open in most browsers.
