How to use it

  1. On the WhatsApp tab enter your phone number with the country code, for example 15551234567 (no + and no spaces).
  2. Optionally type a prefilled message and the chat opens with it.
  3. Adjust the color, size and margin in the Appearance section.
  4. Download PNG or SVG. Scan the code with your phone once before printing it.

Frequently asked questions

What does the person who scans the code see?

On their phone WhatsApp offers to open a chat with your number. If you wrote a prefilled message the message box comes filled in, and they can change it before sending.

How should I write the number?

With the country code and digits only, for example 15551234567 for a US number. The tool already strips non-digit characters such as +, spaces and brackets.

Does the QR code expire?

No. The code contains the link itself, is not stored in any account and never expires. If you change your number you need to create a new code.
